RURAL RiSE has opened a call for participants from Italy, Serbia and Spain to take part in a funded mobility to Brussels for the project’s final event, which will take place on 10 June 2026. This event marks an important milestone in the project and will offer a space for exchange, networking and shared reflection on rural development, social economy and skills development for youth and women in rural areas.
Throughout its 24-month journey, RURAL RiSE has worked to strengthen education, training and upskilling opportunities in rural areas, with a particular focus on unemployed people, especially youth and women. The project promotes cooperation between local authorities and social economy organisations and supports more sustainable, inclusive and community-based approaches to rural development. The final event in Brussels is part of this wider process and is foreseen in the project as the fourth and final Capacity Building event, focused on youth and new rurality.
The Brussels gathering will bring together participants, project partners and relevant stakeholders to share experiences, discuss challenges and explore future opportunities for rural communities across Europe. It will also take place during the same week as the New European Bauhaus Festival 2026, which is scheduled in Brussels from 9 to 13 June 2026. This creates a valuable European context for dialogue and inspiration around sustainability, inclusion and the future of local communities.
Applications are open to citizens from Italy, Serbia and Spain. All applications submitted through the form will be evaluated by the RURAL RiSE consortium, and applicants will be informed of the results by email using the address provided in the application form.
